Many post-graduate students start a program thinking that their academic writing is pretty good…only to be brought low by content experts, proposal reviewers, and the dreaded IRB. It’s all very well to be told to “Elevate your level of scholarly writing” or to “adhere to academic writing conventions,” but you probably didn’t take a class on that.
Is there even a class?
Meanwhile, the clock is ticking
Either way, you’re already neck-deep in a proposal or project. Realistically, you need to figure out what they want quickly if you’re going to finish. Because every week you sit on that document, you’re losing time, money and motivation.
The good news is…
You can learn how to write successfully for academic purposes, and I’m here to help! I have compiled my years of experience as an English composition instructor, advanced learner and writing editor and consultant, to deliver brief tutorial-style blog posts for those who want to improve their academic writing. The blog is down-to-earth, not stuffy or confusing.
More good news…
Don’t have the time or energy to bolster your academic writing skills right now? Inquire about contracting me to be your personal editor and writing consultant. Note: I will not write your papers, proposals, dissertations for you. However, having an experienced writer and editor in your corner can make a huge difference in your success.
